VOC offers a ten-week citizenship class that meets one evening per week. During these classes, students will practice answering the oral questions of the N-400 application form to gain confidence in their interview skills. The classes will cover essential topics on the one hundred (100) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services civics study questions. Classroom topics include an overview of U.S. history, geography, civics, and government. In addition, students will practice pronunciation, reading aloud, writing, dictation, and orally answering the civics questions. The textbook for the class is provided free of charge to students. Classroom activities include interactive games and activities as well as traditional study. Students are referred to area resources for help answering specific questions about their individual situations and filling out the N-400 application.
